Follow-up and prevention
Verify the result, correct if needed, and put the right habits in place for the future.

An intervention without follow-up is an intervention half done. Eggs hatching after the technician's visit, a harbourage missed inside a piece of furniture, an untreated neighbour: that is what brings bed bugs back.
The control visit
We come back to verify the result after a delay matched to the insect's life cycle. The technician re-inspects the treated areas, looks for signs of recent activity and confirms — or adjusts.
What you can do on your side
- Keep beds away from walls and blankets off the floor.
- Certified bed bug encasements on mattress and box spring, left in place for at least a year.
- Vacuum regularly around beds, emptying the bag outside.
- Reduce clutter on the floor: fewer hiding places, better monitoring.
- Report any new sign quickly rather than waiting to be certain.
Seeing a bed bug in the days after the intervention is not necessarily a failure. Simply report it: it is useful information for the follow-up visit.
Preventing the next time
Most re-infestations come from outside: furniture picked up on the sidewalk, a hotel stay, a suitcase set on a bed. Our prevention page covers the habits that genuinely make a difference.
